Naki'o "Amazing Red Heeler" Receives 4 Bionic Legs!

Bionic Dog Prosthetic Paws Video

Animals are absolutely amazing! This little fellow is no exception! Naki'o is a Red Heeler..and he has received 4 new bionic legs! The prosthetics are built to mimic muscle and bone to allow dogs to run, jump, and swim. The prosthetics were designed and fitted by Martin Kaufmann, founder of Orthopets.

When the family that owned the pups, lost their home in foreclosure, they abandoned Naki'o and his sibblings..Naki'o got his paws stuck in freezing water and developed severe frostbite at the tender age of five weeks old. The pups were rescued, but Naki'o lost his paws,..but amazingly adjusted by crawling around on his belly.

Naki'o was adopted by a wonderful family, who had a fundraiser to raise money to put two prosthetics on his back legs. Naki'o took to his new legs so well that Orthopets decided to fit his front legs free of charge.
It took a while to adjust, but Naki'o is doing great, and playing ball with the other dogs in his family! (actually beating them to the ball)

Thanks, The Bark!
